About Us

The Bayonne Community Action League is a non-partisan coalition formed with the intent to cultivate active interest in our City, located in Hudson County, New Jersey. We are neither a political, religious, nor social organization. We simply wish to promote a greater sense of community among residents, property owners, and businesses.

Our objective is not to engage in an atmosphere that encourages conflict. We want to inform and act, not banter and complain. We hope to remove the ‘them versus us’ mentality that hinders progress and help find a way to develop a ‘them & us’ relationship with those who are willing to be open to cooperation.

This web site will be used as the primary means through which Bayonne residents can exchange information so that we can become active members of our City.

Issues are presented and discussed to allow residents to become informed on matters that affect the vitality of Bayonne.

  • Resources are available in the form of downloadable material, as well as links to other sites, that can be utilized to help spread the word on issues that require community-wide involvement.
  • Discussion via online forums is offered to have residents exchange information on community activities, graffiti reports, lost & found, neighborhood watch, public announcements, re-development issues, school district issues, and volunteer opportunities.

If there are questions, suggestions, recommendations, or if you wish to find out how you can become more involved, feel free to contact us by emailing bayonne@tbcal.com.

Our Three Core Pillars
Community:  By increasing the level of neighborhood participation, we can enhance the voice of one person by making it the voice of many. We encourage all citizens to be more active in social community. We value the pride and fortitude that built our city, and we seek to preserve its history as we continue to grow

Charity:  BCAL is committed to assisting our city’s charitable organizations. It is not only our social responsibility to serve our community, but our moral obligation to help those around us.

Advocacy: We seek to enhance government transparency by working  closely with public officials to ensure they continue to serve the interests of their communities.
